Aergo Capital has acquired Seraph Aviation Management Ltd in a deal that lifts its owned and managed aircraft assets by 58 per cent to $6.8 billion. The deal increases the Aergo portfolio of AuM by 88 aircraft to 304 (including aircraft under LoI) and lifts its average unit value by just under 13 per cent from $19.9 million to $22.4 million per aircraft. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

United Airline’s record breaking order for up to 200 Dreamliners and 100 Max, BOC Aviation’s order for 40 MAX and possible orders for up to 500 aircraft from Air India show the huge underlying demand that exists for new aircraft. In part, of course, this is to meet the requirement for fleet replacement with new technology, lower CO2 emitting aircraft. But it also demonstrates the strong growth anticipated in air travel, especially internationally.
